PRO2 and PRO players are virtually identical mechanically. With the exception of the clip holding the large gear wheel. Unfortunately this clip does more harm than good. The way it is installed, it is applying an unnecessary pressure on the large gear wheel and causes the sledge motor to work considerably harder during lateral movement of the OP. The result is a drop of voltage to the turntable motor that considerably shortens the life of the motor. Turntable motor failure on PRO2 has been one of the major problems. The easiest correction is to lift the clip to relieve the pressure on the gear wheel. (PRO players did not use the clip and we never seen a problem with the large gear wheel coming loose.)
